A PASSION FOR EDUCATION
Rose Wilde Standing Green Background 2.j

I am running for re-election to the Lane Education Service District Board to ensure all Lane County schools thrive not only as we recover from the pandemic but in the years to come. In 2019, Oregonians made our children an amazing promise by passing the visionary Student Success Act, a commitment to provide all students with the tools, teachers, and experiences they need to excel.  The pandemic put many of our plans for new programs on pause.

Now, as we emerge from a year that has challenged students and educators alike, I am ready to hit the ground running. I will continue my eight years of service on the Lane ESD Board by expanding career and technical education opportunities, engaging and connecting all students and families from all backgrounds, and sharing in the joy of bringing our school communities back together.

As a returning school board member, I am eager to put my skills back to work for our students. I have built strong relationships and partnerships across the county and state as Chair of the Oregon Association of ESDs, where I co-founded our Equity and Racial Task Force. My experience with board leadership and policy will give our district stability through our cautious re-opening, and help our ESD build an innovative vision for the future. But I cannot do this alone - I need your support and your vote on May 18 to keep moving our county’s school districts forward. Together, we can give all our students the top-notch education they deserve.

I’m proud to endorse Rose Wilde because of how hard she works to ensure children in our community and the entire state have what they need to graduate with the skills to succeed in life. She’s been an effective member of the ESD and I’m looking forward to seeing what she does in her next term on behalf of our most vulnerable kids.
